The wind was absolutely crazy the day we met at the lake, which made bubble blowing pretty much effortless! I watched this beautiful duo spend time together exploring, learning, reading and having fun. Thankfully, the rain held off until the very minute we finished the session! I secretly was hoping for a few sprinkles so we could use my vintage looking bubble umbrella, but that's okay! :)
I'm going to try to describe these two using the most adequate words I can. Callie is such a wonderful mother to Kennedy. She is patient, fun, loving and incredibly intelligent. Traits that have undoubtedly been passed through her bones and into her daughter's. They love to read together; I really should have recorded Callie reading Dr. Seuss', "Fox in Socks ", because she read it so fast and with such clarity you'd think she was one of those super fast rappers! I guess that tends to happen, though, when you read a book over and over! ;) Kennedy will be 3 soon and has already memorized another Seuss book, "Hop on Pop", which she "read" to her Mama, along with many songs. She is so creative, this little one. A week before their session, I drove out to their home to meet them and this little lady decided she wanted to make an "obstacle course" (which she said with perfect articulation) out of the kitchen chairs. Her original plan was to push the chairs up to the kitchen counter to get more baconnnn, but when Mama said no more bacon, she went for the obstacle course instead! Her giggle makes my heart melt and that smile- it spreads from cheek to cheek, displaying what a bright ray of sunshine she is.
