“Still, what I want in my life is to be willing to be dazzled—to cast aside the weight of facts and maybe even to float a little above this difficult world.” ~ Mary Oliver
Photographing big families always fills my heart with so much joy. There's so many different personalities, so many beautifully ordinary moments unfolding. I've recently felt a strong tug at my heart and a shift in the way I photograph families. Something that is driven by seeing the honest emotion they possess shine through their hearts. It's how the Daddy goes to pick a flower for his little girl. It's how the Mama pulls her babies in close and holds on to their smell. It's the tears that are softly wiped away and the bursts of laughter. It's the connection between siblings and the light in the parents' eyes when they look at each other.
Your family is beautiful just as it is.
