Would you guys believe these two were ever so teeny? (click here to see their newborn photos) They are just so lovely to be around. Apparently, they are usually full of energy but when I was there photographing them, they were as calm as the breeze on a summer evening. This first photo was one of the first ones I took while there. Sweet Magnolia just sitting there in the grass. I sat down across from her and asked her mom if she liked any songs. I began to sing the “Itsy bitsy spider” and she broke into the biggest smile when she saw me do the hand gestures while singing. It was such a beautiful moment to be fully present in; camera down in my lap, our eyes locked together.
Little Layton really loved the bubbles! He got so excited! He had a milestone moment while I was photographing him and his sister playing in the water table. 2 years ago, when I was there for their Newborn Session, he stopped breathing and I watched his Mama know exactly how to help him. He’s so big and smart now!
So, pardon me for sharing basically their entire gallery but I just love this family!!! These photos were taken at their home. You don’t need a fancy location, in my opinion, if home is your happy place.

i edited these totally different than i normally would. they are brighter and more grainy to give a film-type look. what do you guys think?
